Parent Teacher Council Welcome

Hello Wildcat Families!

Welcome to the Parent Teacher Council (PTC)! As the president of the PTC, I would like to warmly welcome you and your family to the 2021-2022 school year. This is our family’s 7th year at Grace. I’m the proud mom of Jocelyn (6th grade) and wife of Darrell (Grace Alumni: Pre-K-8th grade). I am excited to serve beside you to help all of our scholars, teachers, staff, and families have a fun and memorable year.

I would like to personally invite you to get involved with PTC in a capacity that both works, and is best for you and your family. EVERY parent, family, teacher, and staff person is a member of the PTC.

Thank you for trusting that Grace is the right place for you and your family. I look forward to serving with you as president of PTC to make 2021-2022 a wonderful year. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or feedback.

Purpose

The Bible clearly commands parents to provide for the Christian upbringing and education of our children. Proverbs tells us to "train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it" (Proverbs 22:6).

The PTC works closely with both the staff and the Church’s Board of Day School Ministries to assist the staff and the students both in curricular and extracurricular activities. The PTC is a group of teachers, the principal, and all middle school, elementary school, and preschool parents (and anyone else in the congregation who wishes to be involved) who are concerned that our students not only receive every opportunity to succeed in their curricular studies but be given every opportunity for the extracurricular activities that are a part of every child’s student life. Problems or concerns dealing with the policies and procedures of the school or church are taken to the Board of Day School Ministries. This organization is for the purpose of putting forth positive support for the faculty, staff, and students.

Mission

The PTC is committed to making a difference in each child’s experience of education and Christianity while at Grace.

Vision

When parents, teachers, staff, and the community all work together, we can provide opportunities to enrich our children’s lives. These opportunities for fun and learning, both within and outside of the classroom, will assist our children in becoming valued Christian citizens of our community.
